Information we collect

This is an informational website for a podcast. We do not sell products or services through it, and we do not seek sensitive personal information.

Automatically collected data. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages, and the date and time of your visit. This information is generated by standard server activity and is used to keep the site running securely and reliably. We also use Google Analytics to understand which episodes and pages are read and listened to, in aggregate.

Information you provide through the guest interest form. If you apply to appear as a guest, we collect the information you enter, which may include your name, email address, professional title, organization, profile links, area of expertise, and your proposed topic. We use it to evaluate your submission, to contact you about appearing, and to plan episodes.

Information you provide directly. If you contact us by email using the addresses listed on this site, we receive whatever information you choose to share, such as your name, your organization, your contact details, and the substance of your message. We use it to respond to you.

Embedded players and platform links. Episodes are hosted on third-party platforms, and episode pages may embed players from services such as YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts. When a page containing an embedded player loads, or when you play an episode, that platform may set cookies and collect information about your device and viewing or listening activity under its own privacy policy, not ours. The same applies when you follow a link from this site to one of those platforms or to a social media page. We do not control those practices and encourage you to review the policies of any platform you use.

How we use information

We use the information described above to operate and secure this website, to respond to messages, to evaluate guest submissions, to produce and distribute episodes, and to send the newsletter to people who have asked for it. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We may share information with service providers who help us operate this site and the podcast, such as our hosting, email, form, and podcast distribution providers. We may disclose information where required by law, court order, or legal process.

Guest information

Guests who appear on the podcast agree to the publication of their name, professional background, likeness, and the recorded conversation across the podcast’s distribution channels.

Data retention

We retain messages, guest submissions, and correspondence for as long as needed to respond, to plan and document episodes, and to meet any applicable legal or recordkeeping obligations, after which we dispose of them.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use Google Analytics cookies only if you accept them in our cookie notice. If you decline, or if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Google Analytics does not load. Your choice is saved in your browser for 12 months, and you can change it at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

YouTube sets its cookies only after you press play on an embedded video. The table below lists the cookies we have identified on this site.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the information we hold about you. To make a request or ask a question about this notice, contact us using the information below. We will respond consistent with applicable law.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Please do not send case material, confidential case details, or protected health information to this site or its email addresses. We cannot accept it and we cannot review it.

Children

This site is intended for professional audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this notice from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we do, we will revise the effective date above.
