On roles

In litigation, an attorney advocates for a client. An expert witness does not. The expert’s obligation is to reach an honest opinion within their expertise and explain it clearly to the court, regardless of which party retained them and regardless of the outcome. Nothing on this podcast or website is intended to help an expert favor a retaining party or shape an opinion toward a desired result.

What we do not do

We do not give legal advice or clinical advice. We do not discuss active litigation or comment on named cases or identifiable parties. We do not take positions on contested medical-legal policy questions. We do not advise on rates, and nothing here is a fee recommendation.

Guest views

Guests speak for themselves. Their statements are their own and do not represent the views of the hosts or the show. Guests are not compensated for appearing and we do not accept sponsored guest placements.

Accuracy

If you find an error in an episode description, show note or transcript, write to podcast@childneurologyexpert.com and we will correct it and note the correction on the page.

Jurisdiction

Rules of evidence, disclosure requirements and examination procedures vary by jurisdiction and change over time. General discussion on this show may not reflect the rules that apply to your matter.
